Shift Score is a daily number from 0 to 100 that shows how current market conditions compare to 14 years of historical data. Higher score = more attractive conditions for deploying surplus cash beyond your regular SIP.
Who is it for?
Any Indian equity investor who wants a data-backed answer to "should I invest more this month?" Whether you do SIPs, lump sum investments, or both. Whether you have ₹5,000 or ₹5 Lakh to deploy. The score works the same way for everyone because it measures market conditions, not your portfolio size.
What does the score consider?
A multi-factor model evaluating valuation, volatility, price structure, and other signals, weighted and calibrated against 14 years of daily market data.
The same formula that runs live was backtested across 2,887 trading days with no hindsight adjustments.

What Shift Score is NOT
Not a short-term predictor (12-month horizon). Not a reason to stop your SIP (surplus cash only). Not stock picks. Not investment advice.
Frequently asked questions
How often does the Shift Score update?
Every trading day. Checking once around your SIP date each month is sufficient.
Can I get notified when the score crosses a threshold?
Yes. Subscribe on the homepage for alerts when the score crosses 70 or 80. Maximum 2 emails per month.
Why not just use PE ratio alone?
PE says if the market is cheap, but cheap can stay cheap. The multi-factor combination (valuations + volatility + trend) identifies actual entry points, validated on 2,887 trading days.
What if I invested at score 70 and market fell further?
Expected and normal. The score measures probability over 12 months. In backtesting, 99% of score-70+ entries gave positive returns within 12 months.
